Alessia Gloder: We are all space users
Space engineer Alessia Gloder sheds light on the importance of space, why we should all care about something that is seemingly so out of reach, and the reasons we don't have to be astronauts to consider ourselves space users. Alessia is an Aerospace Engineer with a diverse, international and multidisciplinary background. She is the Project Manager of ASCenSIon, a project funded by the European Commission focused on sustainable access to space for Europe. She has academic and industrial experience both in technical and commercial roles, and is a business and product consultant for space startups. She took part in several workshops, conferences and projects worldwide, collaborated with renowned entities (ESA, NASA, etc.) and won international prizes. Alessia is active in the international space community and is part of several of its organisations, also with leading positions. She is an advocate of education, gender equality, diversity and inclusion in the space sector and she strongly believes that space is a field for all.
